Club Campestre Course Receives Rave Reviews

Mar 7, 2013

Continuing the series of golf course reviews, today’s blog features Club Campestre. Stunning views of the Sea of Cortez, deserts, canyons, and mountains-you really cannot go wrong with golfing at Club Campestre in Cabo San Lucas!

There is no doubt that Club Campestre is an incredibly scenic golf course. Each hole is surrounded by the beautiful greens juxtaposed against the desert terrain of Cabo San Lucas. The fairways are wide and fairly easy to play, but don’t let that fool you. The real challenge comes when you get to the greens.

The greens feature dramatic elevation changes and undulation to give those who brag about their short game a challenge.

Here’s what a few recent golfers had to say about this course:

“We had the opportunity to golf this trip at Club Campestre in San Jose del Cabo and really enjoyed the course. It is a beautiful course yet somewhat challenging but fair for the average golfer, especially some of the greens with their little tricks. The views on the course of the Sea of Cortes are breathtaking.
We would recommend you try the Club Campestre Golf Course next trip to Cabo. We will be booking our tee times for sure.”- Visitor from Scottsdale, AZ.

“‘Wonderful golf experience’- The course was in excellent shape and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant. It is a challenging, picturesque course that is well worth playing.”- Visitor from Mississauga, Canada

For a fun golf experience that is well worth your money, set up a tee time at Club Campestre. A typical round of golf costs between $130-170. Pricing depends upon the time of year and the time of day you embark on your golfing excursion. However, if you stay at Cabo Villas Beach Resort and Spa, you can receive discounted golfing prices.

Puerto Los Cabos Golf Course is a Local Favorite in Cabo San Lucas

Feb 11, 2013

Cabo San Lucas is home to many amazing golf courses. Continuing our series of golf course reviews, today’s blog features Puerto Los Cabos Golf Course. This course is the second review of the three courses in Questro Golf.

According to Jed Erickson, owner of the Cabo Villas Beach Resort and Spa, Puerto Los Cabos Golf Course is not only the most challenging of the three Questro Golf Courses but also his favorite. After reading review, after review online, it is easy to see why.

This unique course gives golfers a truly amazing experience. Thhe Puerto Los Cabos Composite Course is a combination of two partially completed course by Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus.

Golfers will get an inside look at the courses that are in the making. The composite course features the Front Nine holes of the Mission Course, which has been designed by Greg Norman and will eventually become a private course. The Back Nine of the Marina Course were designed by Jack Nicklaus and will eventually become one of the most loved public courses in Cabo San Lucas.

Here is what a few of the recent golfers had to say about the course.

“We played all 3 Questro courses in the area and this was by far the best. The service was over the top. The all inclusive food was a bargain, since our game improved on the back nine with Chevy’s Margaritas! If you are playing golf in the Cabo area this one is a must as the views from seemingly every hole are incredible only matched by the perfect greens. We will be back.”-  Visitor from Seattle, WA.

“We did twilight golf that included drinks and food at the cool huts along the course. I would definitely play here again on our next trip to Los Cabos. Nice friendly staff, beautiful setting, great value, free food and drinks and good to play with any handicap.” – Cody Mack, CT

For a challenging, fun golfing experience, check out Puerto Los Cabos. Golfers can play a round for $175-$205 depending on the time of year and time of day you decide to go. For guests staying at Cabo Villas Beach Resort and Spa, golfing at Puerto Los Cabos is discounted to the special rate of $110 for VIP Gold Card Members. Don’t miss out on playing the sneak-peek version of this unique composite course. It won’t stay like this forever!

Golf Like the Pros at Cabo Real Golf Course in Cabo San Lucas

Feb 6, 2013

Cabo San Lucas is home to many amazing golf courses. Continuing our series of golf course reviews, today’s blog features Cabo Real Golf Course. This course is the first of the three courses in Questro Golf.

Cabo Real has great views of mountains, dessert, beach and the ocean – all within 18 holes. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones II and was opened in 1994. Since opening, the course has been home to two PGA Senior Slams and a handful of other prestigious golf tournaments.

The course is a Par 71 and is known for its front 9 holes. In fact, the front 9 are arguably the best 9 holes of golf in all of Mexico. The first 6 holes are in the mountains. Golfers are challenged to hit their ball over a large ravine.

Following the very difficult front 9 holes of golf, golfers get to take in views of the ocean and try the less difficult back 9. Here is what some golfers had to say about Cabo Real Golf Course:

Jan. 25, 2013

“We played 18 holes and got to experience the most beautiful golf course ever. You get to see the ocean from every hole, plus mountains, canyons and beautiful scenery. One of the holes takes you right down to the beach! We played twilight golf, so we also got to see the sunset from the course-breathtaking. A challenging course, but so worth your time, we will definitely be back to play again next time we’re in Cabo. “– Julie L. from Denver, CO.

Dec. 24, 2013

“It’s not as easy as it looks! Another excellent golf course to consider when in Cabo, this is a great course to play on your way out of town. It is closer to the SJD Airport, so you can play early and catch a 2 p.m. flight out with no worries.” – Visitor from Tucson, AZ.

A high-quality course like this does come with a higher price tag. A round of golf at Cabo Real usually runs between $180-$280, depending on the time of year and time of day you plan to go golfing. However, if you stay at Cabo Villas Beach Resort and Spa and receive the VIP Gold Card, you will be able to golf for the discounted price of $110.

This price not only includes the round of golf, but it also includes free waters, practice driving range and a high-tech golf cart. The carts at Cabo Real feature a video screen that shows an aerial view of the hole you’re playing that measure the distance from your cart to the hole.
