3 Things You Never Thought of Trying on Your Cabo Vacation

Sure, you may hear your cousin’s family talk about swimming with the dolphins in Cabo San Lucas, and what about the traditional sightseeing tours with knowledgeable, local tour guides? Are those too “tourist-y” for you. If you’re looking to indulge in something a little more unique, try these three activities during your trip to Cabo.

Ziplining Adventures

This activity is not for those who are afraid of heights. Ziplining is becoming a very popular in Cabo San Lucas. Travel above the beautiful canyons, rivers and tree top canopies from a safety harness. There are several options in Cabo for a Zipline adventure, and one of our favorites is Wile Canyon. Wild Canyon is home to some of the longest zip lines in the world, and currently, it is the only zip line system to allow up to four riders to enjoy the fun together at the same time! A zipline is a great way to see the sights of Cabo San Lucas from a very unique and beautiful point of view.

Camel Safari

Sure you’ve gone horse-back riding before. Maybe you’ve even gone riding on the Cabo beach at sunset, but have you discovered the Baja desert on the back of a camel? The tour includes a short nature walk through the Sierra Mountains and a visit to a local farmer’s home where you’ll taste handmade tortillas and other Mexican foods… all with your camel friend.

ATV Tours

Another great way to see the sights without falling asleep is on an ATV, off-road tour. Cruise down the beach during the sunset or check out the Baja desert on an ATV. For history adventurers, there is a tour that goes through a tiny, 200-year old village. Imagine seeing the desert, mountains, canyons and more with the wind in your hair and the sun on your face.

You never thought you could go sightseeing on the back of a camel or cruising on an ATV. Experience the nature of Cabo from hundreds of feet in the air with a ziplining adventure. Any of these adventures will create memories that will last a lifetime.

Cabo Villas Introduces New Breakfast Buffet

Cabo Villas Beach Resort and Spa is excited to announce the addition of a new breakfast buffet at the Attitude Restaurant.

The restaurant, conveniently located near the main pool now serves a wide variety of breakfast choices. The buffet includes traditional favorites like pancakes, French toast, eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt and cereal. Guests looking for something more authentic should try the Mexican hot dish.

The Attitude Restaurant isn’t the only on-site restaurant that serves breakfast at Cabo Villas Beach Resort. The Baja Cantina serves the beach club and provides room services to the resort, so guests can order breakfast they way they like it.

The Baja Brewing Company is known for their micro-brewed beers, but they also serve a delicious morning meal. Their breakfast menu includes traditional options including omelets and eggs, but the microbrewery offers some unique morning menu items. The pancakes are made with beer batter, and the French toast is made from fresh baked beer bread for a unique flavor.

The breakfast buffet at the Attitude Restaurant is $12 US dollars, and is available from 8-11 a.m. daily. For more information about Cabo Villas Beach Resort and Spa, please visit www.discountedcabobeachresorts.com.

Several Unique Microbrews Served at Cabo Villas Beach Resort

Baja Brewing Company uses fresh ingredients to create their unique microbrews. The six varieties are proudly served at Cabo Villas Beach Resort and Spa including the Baja Cantina. With such a varied selection, there is a microbrew for everyone to love.

Cabotella

Cabotella is a blond ale with a medium body and light bitterness. It has been described as “a refreshing memory from Cabo”. Those seeking a true Mexican experience should try this beer that captures “authentic cerveza”.

Baja Blond

Golden and light, this cream ale has extra body and flavor. A review on ratebeer.com describes Baja Blond as, “Taste is also buttery, but not unpleasantly so, with notes of grain, lightly sweet malt. A lightly bitter finish. Tap version has a small white head and good lacing.”

Baja Razz

This raspberry ale is a nice substitute for white wine or champagne. Easy to drink, it has just a subtle raspberry aroma. Light body, light bitterness and a clear color.

Baja Black

Baja Black is a special black ale. The style is Swartzbier and has a medium body. What makes Baja Black special is that there is no bitterness. This black beer will “surprise you.”

Baja Red

Medium bodied, amber ale, Baja Red has medium to high bitterness. The full flavor and aroma finishes with a smooth hoppy taste. Amber Ale pairs well with meat dishes, hearty fish, and (a classic) pizza.

Baja Stout

Baja Stout is an Oatmeal Stout with a complete body. With high and balanced bitterness, the nearly black body produces some coffee and chocolate notes in the aroma. If there were such a thing, Baja Stout might be known as a “Dessert Beer”.

Draft Beer

Several of the above microbrews are available as a draft. Other options include Cactus Wheat, Peliroja, Escorpion Negro, and Baja Brew Rootbeer, for those not quite in the mood for a beer yet.

More information about the Baja Brewing Company is available online.
